OS 1171: Goin’ Old School

It’s Old School Kingfish Tournament Weekend here on the First Coast, and the guys were all geeked up about it.  The two-day tournament had already experienced a great Friday, and Saturday promised to be spectacular as well.  Everybody was talking about kingfish, telling stories about kingfish, asking questions about kingfish…and having a great time.

Throw in a hilarious story about Scotty driving a beast of a boat, a surprise attack from John with his favorite pickles, and the usual gang of crazy OS faithful, and you’ve got another “gotta listen” episode!

Here’s your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week: Put sea deck non skid on areas to avert slipping. Cost $450

Here’s your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: The pogies have finally showed up thick around our inlets. If you’re going offshore this weekend and you’re planning on slow trolling pogies make sure you catch some extra baits. They make excellent live bait chum!
