Here’s your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week from Captain Kirk: I use a bungy cord to pin my rods against the console to keep them out of the way on my T top. Folks fighting fish will hang the line with their clothes and break the rod tips if I don’t push them in.
Here’s your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: There are a ton of juvenile fish in our backwaters this time of year. Small reds, trout and drum. Also flounder are closed. They are all a blast to catch but have to be released. To make it easier take a pair of pliers and smash down the barb on your hooks.
