OS 1195: We are Thank-FULL

Jeff was out for some post-Thanksgiving OSR, so Capt. Kevin and Capt. Kirk welcomed in Capt. Leon Dana to a special holiday edition of the show. As you can imagine, there was talk about hunting, talk about fishing, talk about the weather, talk about all kinds of nifty little tips and tricks…but you know there was lots of chatter about food!

Special thanks to RJ, who stepped in on a holiday weekend to produce the show!

Here’s your L.V. Hiers Gear Tip of the Week: Kirk says you shouldn’t believe Kevin – the Bugs Plug Repeller “Flip & Slip Bucket Lid Mouse Trap” is a sure-fire winner!

Here’s your Ring Power CAT tip of the week from Captain Leon Dana: It’s time to talk about the “NoBrainer” again…. With water temperature dropping into the low 60s redfish are now starting to school up. Weather you like to fish mudflats, oyster beds or grass lines this semi weedless rig will produce! With a quarter piece of fresh blue crab you can pitch this rig further than normal rigs allowing you to not spook the fish school. The best part is after pitching the bait just put it in the rod holder!!! It’s a “NoBrainer”! When a redfish picks up the bait he will self hook. All you need to do is pick up the rod and start reeling…. This rig is also great for children… they can do other things like play with the shrimp in the bucket till their rods goes off. Available at Strike Zone and other tackle shops!

Here’s your Kirbyco Builders Inc. cooking tip of the week: We wanted to hear from you…what’s your favorite deer stand snack!? Listen for the guys to share their faves, and check our Facebook page to find out what OS Nation likes to munch on.
