Lots of good news about the fishing and shrimping, but it wasn’t all good news. First Coast anglers finally got their expanded snapper season…but boy, the regs have made it a hot mess. Capt. Chad Starling called in to sort it out. You need to listen, but you may also want to have a piece of paper, a sharp pencil and a calculator handy. Good grief…
Now when the temperature starts to fall, the guys look at the calendar. And today, the fact this this was their final September show, they couldn’t help but start talking about hunting. Lots of chatter about feeders, baiting and all the stuff that pulls them in.
This show was in the middle of a Harvest Moon, which led to a few stories about how bright that moon can get when you’re in the woods. Well, that brought up jacklighting, which brought up all things jack: jackwagons, jackrabbits, jacka$$es, jack squat, and the ultimate question: what’s the deal with the word “jack”?
