OS 1254: Full House of Fishermen

With the Jags rolling on to KC for the Divisional Round of the playoffs (#IWATJ), Jeff was away from the studio. In his stead, Capt. Kevin and Capt. Kirk were joined by two – count ’em two – Fishing Forecast folks: co-host Capt. Ricky (a.k.a. “Hollywood”) Poupore and Capt. Chip Wingo!

There was, as you could guess, a bunch of fishing talk on this episode, including some great stories about scary fish encounters. We’re talking sharks, cudas, and big heavies going crazy on the deck! You can also listen for some cool insights about trolling motors, too.

But there were also plenty of hunting stories, too, so don’t think they slept on the other side of the outdoors.

Here’s your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week from Captain Kevin: A Seadek 36 inch Fish Ruler! These fish rulers are very nice. I placed mine on the floor on the back of the boat. Much easier to measure a fish on the floor than trying to hold it up! Go to Seadek.com to purchase.

Here’s your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: Buy inexpensive towels for the boat or garage in bulk. It’s cheaper. You can get Fruitland Bar Towels at Restaurant Depot!

Here’s your Kirbyco Builders Inc. cooking tip of the week: Captain Kevin’s Bacon wrapped deer roast

Seasonings or your rub of choice. Then do an over lapping bacon wrap. Put the roast in a gallon zip lock and then cover in Zesty Italian dressing. Marinate overnight. Grill on off-setting heat until medium rare. Simple and delicious!!
