Capt. Kirk was out on OSR, so Capt. Kevin and Jeff welcomed in Peter Thliveros, the area’s most successful professional bass angler. And in case you’re wondering, “most successful” is no joke – Peter T’s won almost $2 MILLION over the course of his career. With a track record like that, you can guess there’s a lots of bass talk, of course – stories, tips, tricks…you name it, you’ll get it! But it wasn’t ALL bass…there was plenty of surf and offshore fishing talk, too.
The show took a serious turn when Capt. Matt Chipperfield called in to talk about a crazy video he filmed in Guana Watershed. The situation there is distastrous; the water is poisoned by bacteria, pollutants and now deadly algae blooms. The fish kill covers several species – it’s catastrophic. The worst part: all of it could have been prevented. Capt. Matt shared the details, and how we can all get involved to save Guana.
It was a wild episode, complete with a surprise call-in from Josh Scobee, stories of turkey gangs, attack ostriches, the Tale of the Bathtub Bass, and there was even a pet goat sighting! You’ve GOTTA listen to this one…
