With Capt. Kirk out doing some family-style OSR, Capt. Kevin and Jeff called on Scott “Full-Time Part-Timer” Whatley to hang out with them. It was a great time to just talk about all the fun things associated with the outdoor lifestyle.
The mullet are runnin’ like crazy, and First Coast anglers are taking advantage. They’re not the only ones – sharks are EVERYWHERE on the beach right now. In other news, flood tides are coming in, which is making for some fantastic fishing.
The highlight of the morning came about halfway through the episode when the guys welcomed in Kevin’s dad, who was celebrating his 89th birthday! It was fantastic to hear from the the patriarch of the Faver family and a true historian of the First Coast.
During the show, Scott spent some time talking about the Death To Dementia Floatilla taking place on October 25. The Floatilla’s a fun day on the water raising awareness + funds for families in NE Florida battling Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia. Visit deathtodementia.com to find out more and register your boat.
And it should be noted that, once again, things went sideways – where else are you gonna get talk about the Dukes of Hazzard, potato shirts, the Metrosexual Farmer ID Test, and more?
